Dating website beautifulpeople.com has named its fantasy team of the World Cup“s best-looking players - and has also named and shamed the least attractive in the ugliest XI.

Topping the list of the best-looking players at the tournament is Fabio Cannavaro, giving the Italian captain a welcome boost after he saw his side knocked out of the tournament at the group stage.

But there was more bad news for English duo Wayne Rooney and John Terry, whose World Cup misery is compounded as they made the Ugliest XI side - with Manchester United striker  PARK Chu-Youngtopping the list as the ugliest player at the tournament.

The dating website, which prides itself on its morally dubious stance of banning ugly people from joining, also worked out which were the best and worst looking teams.

Spain, IIaly and Brazil all came out well - while Algeria was nominated the ugliest side, closely followed by England.
