「私は、YMOの活躍をリアルタイムで体感した世代ではなく、後から聴いた世代なのですが、個人的に、（YMOのアルバムは皆凄いと思いますが）YMOのアルバムの中で一番格好良いと思い好きなのは、「BGM」です。この時代に、この音・この音楽を創っていたのかと一番驚いたのが「BGM」です。」

「おはようございます＾＾ YMOのBALLETは、何となく味がありますよね。YMOというとどうしてもこれよりも少し前の７０年代の終わりに発表された「テクノポリス」や「ライディーン」の方が有名ですが、私は、BALLETの頃のYMOの曲の方が好きなんです（何れにしてもリアルタイム世代ではないですがw）。」

日本には、多くの、テクノ（techno）音楽のmusician・groupがいますが（ありますが）、YMO（１９７８年にデビュー（debut））は、日本を代表する、techno groupの一つです。YMOは、日本のテクノ（techno）音楽の先駆者である、musician・groupであると共に、世界のテクノ（techno）音楽の先駆者である、musician・groupの一つでもあります（世界で、最も初期の頃の、テクノ（techno）音楽のmusician・groupの一つ）。
