甘味処 福岡秋月の廣久葛本舗は1819年（文政2年）創業。江戸時代から200年以上続く本葛100%の和菓子店
本葛の原料となるのは、山野に自生している「葛(クズ)」という植物の根。「葛」は豆科の多年生つる草で、秋には紫紅色の花を咲かせる。花は秋の七草にも数えられている。

본갈의 원료가 되는 것은, 야마노에 자생하고 있는 「덩굴(쓰레기)」이라고 하는 식물의 뿌리.「덩굴」은 콩과의 다년생 덩굴풀로, 가을에는 보라색 홍색이 꽃을 피운다.꽃은 가을의 일곱풀에도 셀 수 있고 있다.
