한카이 전철
안녕「교차선」…우에마치선, 내년 1월 일부 폐지!
오사카시와 사카이시를 연결하는 노면 전차「한카이 전철」를 운행하는 한카이 전기 궤도는 28일, 우에마치선의 스미요시(오사카시 스미요시구)−스미요시 공원( 동)간 약 200미터를, 내년 1월 31일에 폐지한다고 발표했다.선로의 부설로부터 약 60년이 경과해, 레일등이 노후화.개수에 약 5억엔 들기 위해, 폐지를 결정했다.
스미요시역의 근처에서는, 우에마치선과 한카이선(에비스쵸−하마데라 역전)이 교차한다.노면 전차의 선로끼리가 교차하는 것은 전국적으로도 드물지만, 자취을 감추게 된다.
동사에 의하면, 스미요시 공원역의 승강객수는 1일 약 70명.이용자는 동쪽으로 약 100미터 떨어진 스미요시 토리마에역을 사용하게 된다.
